BERKELEY HEIGHTS PUBLIC LIBRARY

Policy for Donation of Books/Materials

 

Due to limited space for collection growth and no longer maintaining an on-going book sale, Berkeley Heights will accept only book donations that have been discussed in advance with the Library Director.

 

Items which will be considered:

New hardcover and paperback books in good condition
CDs and DVDs in good condition with original packaging
Materials relating to Berkeley Heights, Union County, New Jersey

 

Items accepted for donation must be delivered during hours the Library is open.

 

If you would like a receipt, give your name, address and number/type of materials donated to a staff member.  An acknowledgment will be sent for tax purposes, but BHPL staff cannot assign a value.

 

Recycling materials that cannot be used or sold is a time consuming activity for BHPL staff.  Please follow these guidelines and recycle unsuitable material through your home recycling service.
